I like NTR but for me it doesn’t really have to do with being mad about the whole situation. I generally just ignore the MC when I watch it and focus on the girl(s), I don’t find myself empathizing with the guy at all. Is this normal or do people generally want to be pissed off or upset to some extent when watching?

I feel like the real question you need to ask when you’re angry about this NTR is, who am I angry for?
If you’re angry for the brother who got his sister/lover “taken” away, then it makes sense that this will no longer be enjoyable for you since you’ve projected yourself on the main male character, the brother. This is natural and we do this in any story scenario. Don’t you notice that you always somehow empathize for the main character of a novel or story especially if they’re speaking in first person EVEN IF they’re not good? Anyways, because you’ve projected yourself on the brother, you also feel your lover being “taken” away (I put “taken” in quotations because I don’t believe a lover can be “taken,” there’s clearly a reason why they left even if it doesn’t have to do with their previous lover i.e. the current lover is just better) and you find that unfair, therefore making you angry.
Now, if you’re angry for the girl, that’s also understandable. After all, she’s the one whose truly suffering here. But, in this NTR, she’s painted to be half-consensual. She got wet after showing her panties, so there’s an arousing factor for her. Therefore, it makes you question, why are you angry for her? If she started fully enjoying everything halfway, would your anger go away? Also, why are you specifically disgusted by this when you’re clearly said that you’ve seen some other bad shit? Bad shit that’s probably happened to girls?
Is the reason you’re feeling angry because for once, a guy in a hentai is getting shit upon or is it truly righteous anger for the girl? And if it is righteous anger, what are you even doing in a hentai website? So much of it centered around abnormal sex. I mean, one of the most popular hentai videos is of women getting gangraped by ogre monsters for Christ’s sake.
Regardless, I hope you avoid NTR if it makes you angry.
